You're greeted warmly and sent back to your own locker, which has a robe and spa slippers in your size, and often a little gift or treat for returning customers. Your wait is very pleasant, as a staff member will take you to a cozy, warm room and bring you a beverage of your choice. There are snacks and luscious couches and chairs to wait for your appointment in.
As a new customer, and someone who works in the industry, I am seriously impressed. Forgive me as I cannot remember the receptionist’s name...but I️ will brag on her forever. She greeted me with a smile and couldn’t wait to show me what Woodhouse had to offer. (I was also offered wine at 10am and that never goes unnoticed!) Hot Stone massage with Kaiti was incredible. She made me feel so comfortable and changed my thoughts on professional massages. Then off to an illuminating facial with Dena...she too made me feel comfortable by applauding the way I already take care of my skin, and showed me new ways to help maintain. That girl knows her trade! Last but not least was a Warm Agave Pedicure with Dy. Very personal and down to earth. Truly enjoyed my experience. Thanks so much, Woodhouse!
I recommend this place to all of my family and friends, and will keep using it as my primary spa.
UPDATE: The spa did reach out to communicate what had happened on their end on the day of and even apologized for the experience we had at the hands of a couple of their front house staff members (clarification: not the spa service staff). Being I have been here before and received a fantastic level of service, I figured something was going on. As sad as I am that this happened on a special day, it was refreshing to hear them take responsibility and apologize for the events of the day. This company truly cares about their business and making sure each guest feels great when walking back out the doors.
I love this Spa. I have been coming here since the day it opened. It is so calming and the staff is always fantastic. I was so excited when I heard they offered Bridal services that I jumped at the opportunity to have all my ladies with me at this great place!
Understanding things happen, we decided to concentrate on the pampering ahead of us and got changed. She takes us past the large room to the small room: chairs/stools were crammed in next to each other and lining the entire outside of the room. We were then told that this was the VIP room and even though we were promised the large room this was the room for events (the room was not finished being set up either). So we had to cram 12 people in a small room. The room got hot (we tried to open the door between the rooms and were told to keep it shut), we couldn't move around and we all started to sweat, my ladies got annoyed and most of them ended up leaving immediately after their service instead of enjoying each others company.
The staff are attentive, friendly, and happy to serve your needs. The services I've received have always been outstanding.
This place is first class. I purchased gift certificates for my mother and sister for Christmas and they enjoyed their services 12/29. They won’t stop talking about it. It was a busy day of celebration there and still the staff didn’t miss a beat. My family can be hard to please and they came home raving about this place! In the end, I got to be the gift giving hero so that’s why I’m here raving too. I may even head in myself as I heard the massage was incredible. Highest rating from me- thanks Woodhouse!
My mother and I spent countless hours talking to the owner and the staff. Amy assured us everything was set for the day: We were promised the large space due to us having 12 people and then we had mimosa, wine and some snacks brought in for a 5-6 hour retreat at the spa! Everyone was beyond excited as my mom, sister and I had been talking up this spa since the day it opened.
Woodhouse Spa is a welcoming addition to Arbor Lakes. I love the serene, calm, cozy atmosphere. The relaxation room is a luxurious and peaceful area to calm down and relax before and after any service you get. My favorite spot is sitting next to the fireplace while I sip on some herbal tea. They also provide healthy snacks and wine. I usually stick to massage therapy and reflexology services but I recently experienced the Woodhouse Signature Seaweed Leaf Pedicure and it was refreshing and delightful! Everything is very clean and organized in an eye-pleasing environment. The staff is very welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Woodhouse Spa!
It was a complete disaster. The fun, relaxing spa day we were all looking forward to after months of planing was cramped, hot and incredibly disappointing with the lack of attention to detail. I truly wish they could have experienced the spa the way in which I intended them too- the way I have been treated in the past (feeling fully pampered and fantastic), but because of what happened, none of them want to return.
I love this place. The staff and service are outstanding, and worth the price. If you're looking for an absolutely quality spa with full service and a relaxing, comfortable environment, you can't find a better place in the Twin Cities.
To top it off, the most frustrating part of this whole experience: I got a pedicure next to the owner the day before and we were talking about how excited all of the ladies were to come in.
Needless to say, the spa (who had known we were coming in for 3 months) did not have anything ready for us. There were "Congratulations Jane Doe!" signs for other parties, robes set up, etc. for them, but it was very evident that they had no idea (or didn't look at the schedule to know) we were coming into the spa that day. They did not offer us the neck wraps or have enough working lockers for us to store our items.
The day came where we finally got to enjoy our spa retreat and it very quickly came crashing down into a burning mess. Upon arrival, we checked in as normal and were brought back to the changing room. She told us to find our sign with our name, a little gift and then to get changed and meet her outside. We looked around and none of the 8 robes in the room had our name on it. We inquired, she apologized and asked how many robes we needed. I told her 12 and her eyes got huge...She just started handing us robes and asked us to find a locker.
If you do choose to buy any of the very quality products they carry in the little shop portion up front, make sure you put the purchase under whichever staff member you receive the services from, if you liked the service.
