Was involved in an moving vehicle incident in maple grove that was being 100% taken care of on the scene when office ken kirkoff showed up on the scene requiring me to make a statement of the accounted incident which I told him I woild after I was done making my insirance claim that I was in the middle. At the end he gave me a coatation, I obtained the incident report for $25.00 and he had me saying word for word That when he asked me what happened while I was on the phone (talking to my insurance adjuster) I said I HAD AN ACCIDENT!? Immediately stating that I admitted and took fault of the incident and admitting (so conveiantly) to the citation that he wrote to me at the end of the incident, which he so coincidently wrote in his 100% favour for court and insurance after the incident/citation was given. Ken Kirkoff's typed statement that so stupidly conveniently supports only his actions and consequences proves that all our public servant officers NEED to be equipped with personal body and microphone cams besides the car dash cams that are parked over 30ft away to rely on transcripts for. He basically could say I said whatever he wanted in his report which he clearly did esp after the accident before his typed report I spent an hr on the phone with 2 of his supervisors about him showing up 20min after an incident handing out citations, which im sure played a role in the wording of typed report but that is ridiculous one would say I HAD AN ACCIDENT in response to what happened? Wow, an officer can say anything for a typed statement (when the car camera cannot hear) in their favour of guiltyness their handes out repercussions when they have quotas to make each month...They need body camera's/microphones that is too much one sided power that can have sever reprocussions on one's record without having video or audio proof. Im sure if officer Ken Kirkoff or any other Maple Grove Officer was that smart to remember word flr word all accounts that the dash camera was not in hearing radius of they would not be middle class officer's, since they would be scoring off the charts in IQ test scores for being able to recollect every word/peoblem they've ever had or learned.
I have nothing but good to say about this department!! We've had one emergency and one non emergency locking our keys in our car. They were immediately there in both situations and we're very caring and compassionate, the dispatcher was also very understanding, caring and compassionate as well. A BIG thank you to the Maple Grove Police Officers, we really appreciate you!
Outstanding. I appreciate ALL your concern and help you gave my Son when he was in a bad circumstance on September 13, 2017, which warranted police & ambulance attention to ER. I cannot find the right words to describe my feelings during this period of sorrow and unforeseen circumstances, but do say, "THANK YOU SO MUCH" he may have been in an accident or could have even injured others. Officers; Ohnstad & Gross, Jonathan would like to thank personally, still in ICU.
This police department is absolutely rediculous. My girlfriend has been getting pulled over for absolutely no reason whatsoever and illegally searched numerous times. There are nights where they are roaming the streets of Maple Grove just searching for any little reason to pull people over and violate their rights. This is down right wrong and they think they are the gestapo. We are filing a lawsuit against them but it won't make any difference because they won't get held accountable for their actions. Maple Grove police have forgotten what policing is all about and it's only a matter of time before they shoot and kill an unarmed citizen.
